Ultrasound Funnies

"When I went in for my 19 week ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby, I was so afraid we wouldn't be able to find out the sex. As my mom and I walked in and we started the ultrasound I told the tech that "I told the baby to cooperate with you" and she immediately said "Well, they are cooperating!" and I looked over at the monitor and my jaw dropped as I saw two little heads right there on the monitor." -Jennifur

"You are going to tell me there is only one in there, right?" I asked the ultrasound tech. I was holding my oldest daughters hand, who had decided at the last minute that she wanted to come with me. We had just decided that we were going to find out the sex of the baby, and keep it our secret.

"Um, no...I am afraid I am not going to tell you that" replied the tech. Silence deafend the dark room as the tech went from the top of my rather large belly to the bottom. And then back again, and again.

After the endless silence of 20 seconds I said, "twins? Are you sure?" The shock of finding out about twins at 30 weeks pregnat not settling yet, she answered, "Im checking for 3 right now." The mere thought of that possibility compleatly wiped away the fear of twins. "I only see two right now." she said. Needless to say, I was very relieved.

Tears begain to roll down my face as my daughter yelled "twins mommy, were having twins!" Torn between shock and amazement, I squeezed her hand tighter and said "I guess we are."

The ultrasound Tech informed me that because it was twins, the scann would take at least 2 hours. In a small town like the one I live in, twins are rare, even more rare to discover so far along. She hadn't done a twin scann in over 5 years and had to make several calls to ask how to do it. Two enitire hours to figgure out a way to tell my husband that baby number 5 was actually babies number 5 AND 6.

I decided that knowing the sexes of the babies was very important now, as suddenly we needed no more suprises. "both boys," she said "seperate water bags, but only one placentia visible. Might be identical, I can't tell." Two more boys, totally answered the toliet seat delima by an overwhelming majority. -JudieDJ
