GotTwinz has implemented a program called “Comforting After the Loss of Your Precious Special One” (CALYPSO). Our purpose is to reach out and support our grieving members and their families who have suffered the loss of their
child(ren).

CALYPSO came to life because the members, Moderators and Administrators of GotTwinz realized a need to reach out and support our families in need. It was jump-started when one of our very own lost her child due to SIDS. We wanted to make sure that neither she, nor any of our other members would be alone during these dark days of mourning.

CALYPSO will be here to provide support to our members and their families who need someone to talk to that understands their journey through grief and mourning.

CALYPSO counselors are made up of volunteers of verified GotTwinz members who have suffered losses of their own.

CALYPSO will provide our services to any GZ member who has suffered a loss during pregnancy, or at any time during their child’s life. We aspire to provide our grieving families with comfort, support and the encouragement necessary to remember their precious special one in life.

We recognize that every situation is different, and we strive to ensure that the member’s needs are accommodated accordingly.

CALYPSO will work to bring together a member who has already experienced a loss with a member who has just suffered a loss to form bonds that will foster a supporting and caring relationship in order to prevent isolation and loneliness.

CALYPSO MISSION STATEMENT

To provide support and encouragement to our grieving members and their families that will meet their emotional needs as they mourn the loss of their
child(ren).


CALYPSO is always taking monetary donations to purchase pamphlets, literature and our supplies, to include postage for sending our cards and care packages.
We will also accept donations of the items that we can use for our gift boxes.

Some of the items we need are:

Men's or Women's Shoe Boxes
Photo Albums 4x6
decorative fabrics for our memory boxes and photo albums
Journals either plain, or very serene covers.
Bereavement Cards (Handmade or Purchased)
Motivational magnets, bookmarks
Angel Pins, pendants, charms
Flower seed packet (forget-me-not's or Angel Wings))
Phone cards
